Sharp, who was born in Rochester, New York in 1962, was a clarinet player, cellos, and pianos at the Hochstein School of Music. When she was awarded a scholarship to The Boston Conservatory because of her love for theater in schools, Sharp applied to The Boston Conservatory. Cum Laude graduated with a B.F.A. Sharp's initial focus was on the stage. Sharp was a part of her first Broadway National Tour of Carousel. Other stage productions include: Abyssinia, Aida, Thunder Knockin' Jitney, The Producers, Big Street, Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, in which Sharp performed alongside writer August Wilson himself. Sharp's talents are not restricted to the stage or screen. Sharp has written and co-written several projects. Apart from performing, she is currently developing an album. Sharp is a fan of exercise. She stays fit by doing boxing, studying Krav Maga, and taking long trips on the road. Sharp resides with her husband and children in Los Angeles.
